Tyreese Pleasanton was a joy to work with my song performance.
Professional, capable, focused and cordial. Would definitely ask him again if need arises!
It has been a pleasure to work with Tyreese Pleasanton. Very professional, cordial, ask pertinent questions to have good understanding. If I am ever in New Orleans again, and need a flutist, I will call him. Great experience!
Response from Tyreese:
Thank-you so much for allowing me to perform with your group. I appreciate your response!
Tyreese was very professional, friendly, and talented. He performed for a private dinner for my parents anniversary and Tyreese helped make it a rememberable and very special for them. I would highly recommend him and hope I get the privilege to work with him again in the future.

Hello, my name is Tyreese Pleasanton. I’m a graduate of Lake Forest High School (2006) and Delaware State University (2015) with a degree in Music Performance. My primary instrument is Flute. I’ve been playing flute since the 5th grade. I’m highly motivated and energetic individual who has 23+ years of experience in music lessons impartation. Overall, in the East Baton Rouge School System, I’ve been teaching band for two years. My first year, I was the Assistant Band Director at McKinley Senior High School located in Baton Rouge, LA ((phone number hidden)9). At the high school level, I assisted in developing and implementing a program of instruction. I’m currently the Band Director at Scotlandville Pre-engineering Magnet Academy ((phone number hidden)0) located in Baton Rouge, LA. At the middle school level, I direct middle school instrumental performances including marching band, concert band, jazz band, soloists, and ensembles, establish performance requirements, enforces academic requirements, and verifies each student’s eligibility to participate in band, coordinates activities with special groups, and provide for band participation at extracurricular events, including concerts, and community events. I have the honor and privilege of teaching a well diverse group of talented students.
I’ve have had the opportunity to participate in several ensembles such as, marching band, concert band, woodwind quintet, and jazz ensemble. I have experience with solo work as well. During my career as a musician, I’ve had the opportunity to Perform at the Washington D.C. Navy Base (Howard University, School of Dentistry Awards Banquet, April 13, 2018. I’ve participated in the Kent County Honor Band (High School, 2005 & 2006) and I was an All-State Band (Candidate). I studied under Mrs. Maureen McDermott-Cannon (High School for 2 years) and Ms. Kathleen Smith (DSU 1 ½ Years). This two awesome teachers and flute instructors taught me the importance of listening and practicing. I was hired to perform with a professional Orchestra for high school and college as well. I had the privilege to perform in pit orchestras for school musicals in high school and college. I also have the privilege of teaching music lessons for online students. I teach all woodwind instruments, (Flute, Clarinet, and Alto Saxophone). All levels and ages of students are more then welcome to sign-up. Please see the link below:

My strong communication skills suited for diverse groups of musical learners. I’m competent in playing a wide range of musical instruments. I am enthusiastic and thrive to transmit the passion of music to my students. Tutored primarily flute, clarinet, saxophone etc., (all woodwind instruments). Music is a challenging and fulfilling intellectual, physical, and emotional journey. It gives students opportunities for personal, moral, and social growth in addition to the basic skills of music instruction. Some awards I received throughout my musical journey consisted of Music Department Award (High School, 2005), Semper Fidelis (Marines, 2006) (High School), and the Honor’s Day Performance Award (DSU, 2015). Creating meaningful musical experiences gives students opportunities to grow and explore music in ways they would not on their own. I will always go above and beyond to make sure students succeed by offering extra opportunities that will stretch and motivate students. “Music is a challenging and fulfilling intellectual, physical, and emotional experience. It gives students opportunities for personal, moral, and social growth in addition to the basic skills of music instruction” (Mr. P, 2020).
Musically Yours
