Born and raised in Southeast Missouri, identical twin brothers, Clinton and Coty Walker, never really knew what life was like without each other. The three minutes between their births seem to be the only time they have spent apart in the last quarter-century. They cried together, ate together, slept together, and, at an early age, began to sing together. It didn’t take long for their family and friends to realize that God had given them a gift that, somehow, seemed incomplete if either party was missing.
Growing up, the pair sang at churches, ball games, and county fairs before settling in as singers and musicians for a local contemporary worship band called Sense the Fall in 2000. For the next decade, the group learned to play and work together as a band – writing music and recording albums – always with a primary mission: to lead young people to God and show true worship in their music.
It was only after high school that these twins started to see how their individuality could play a huge role in their future in music with The Walker Bros’ studio. Established in early 2011, opening their own recording company was a long journey of sacrifice, compromise, and a strong partnership. Shortly after high school Coty left the world of academics to join the work force, using the money he earned to lease a building in the boys’ hometown of Bernie. Meanwhile, Clinton went on to get his Bachelorette in education and an English position at a local high school. The two pooled their resources in 2010 to buy the building and, after three years, build the studio they had always wanted.
They broke into the country music scene in 2011 with their debut single “The Life”. Although the Walker Bros had always played gospel music, with their strong Christian morals and small-town upbringing, country music was a natural transition in their endeavors. Their debut album, which the twins wrote, produced, and recorded at their studio, released in mid-March of 2012, and the duo will be touring in the Midwest this year, hoping to make new friends and great music.
