Jessica Lee is an up and coming young alto saxophonist in the Chicago and Boston areas. Currently in her 4th semester at Berklee College of Music, she is a 2008 Presidential Scholar (full ride scholarship). She has performed in various venues across Chicago including the Skokie Performing Arts Centers, Harper College, major hotels including the Westin, Four Seasons, various solo acts, concerts, weddings, and business banquets. The Quartet is made up of musicians also familiar to the Chicago or Boston area. She will be in Chicago for summer 2010.

Originally from Buffalo Grove, IL, Jessica Lee has been playing saxophone since the age of 9. After having studied and started a career in contemporary/pop styles, she began to play bebop, big band, and jazz during her freshman year of high school. At the age of 14, she joined the Harper College Jazz Ensemble. Since then, she has played lead alto for Harper, Moraine Valley Community College, Illinois Music Educator's Association District Jazz 1 Ensembles, IMEA Allstate Honors Jazz Ensemble, the Merit School of Music Honors Jazz Ensemble, Concert Jazz Ensemble, and Latin Jazz Ensemble, the Carl Sandburg High School Jazz 1 Ensemble, the SWSC District Ensemble, and has been awarded outstanding soloist at the Elmhurst Jazz Fest, Chicagoland Invitational, North Shore Jazz Fest, Rolling Meadows Jazz Fest, etc. Jessica has studied with saxophonists Jerry Ruthrauff and Mark Colby, Professor of Applied Jazz Saxophone at DePaul University, along with Jim Odgren and Shannon LeClaire at the Berklee College of Music. The summer of 2008, she was chosen as part of the Vail Jazz All Stars which was sponsored by the Vail Jazz Association and taught by educators John and Jeff Clayton, Bill Cunfliffe, Lewis Nash, and Terrell Stafford.
