Eu4ic: Singer and Electronic Musician

About Eu4ic 

Electronic dance music (EDM) producer and singer-songwriter Catie Gutierrez, or Eu4ic, has consistently pushed boundaries.

The San Francisco Bay Area native’s passion for music began when she played Zelda and Super Nintendo products. Particularly, her love of video games would inspire her to play their soundtracks on her piano keyboard. Although she studied digital media in college and aspired to be an animator, after she graduated, she decided to further pursue music.

From 2018 to 2020, she hosted the podcast Bempire Radio, which showcased over 20 numerous local – mostly electronic – musicians. In June 2019, she formed the EDM duo Helixxcode with indie-pop singer-songwriter Suzanne Yada (Little Spiral). In August of that year, she presented an upcoming audio-only video game, The War of the Worlds, alongside a team of female designers. And as the month closed, she released her introspective album Soul Color on Spotify. 

Aside from launching her weekly Twitch live-stream, Eu4ic Village, in September, Eu4ic will release her and Suzanne’s debut album as Helixxcode in 2021.

Fun Facts

• Eu4ic produced music while finishing her Master’s degree.
• She taught herself to use software such as FL Studio and tools such as a MIDI keyboard.
• She makes beats reminiscent of the 1990s music scene.
