Madra Rua plays traditional Celtic music, with a lead singer from Ireland, and fiddle player well versed in Scottish county dance sets. We play and sing a mix of ballads, sing-alongs, and session tunes.

Our music is meant for active participation by the people present, it is the same as a session found in a pub in Ireland or Scottland or a bluegrass jam. Dancing and singing are welcome and encouraged.
Our music is played with comfort and engagement. Events we have played since forming in 2010 have included Irish and Scottish pubs & restaurants from Worcester & Boston MA to Concord NH, along with house party's, coffee shops, farmers markets, baby showers, birthday parties and weddings. Charity events for hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and a benefit concert for homeless veterans. We are happy to work with you to make your event a memorable one.
