Growing up in NEPA, RJ was raised on country and classic rock. As a teenager, RJ became obsessed with grunge and bands like Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Sound Garden. He always seemed to find himself going back to country music and and officially turned Country after opening for Aaron Tippin in 2015. RJ's musical journey led him to perform on stages such as Turning Stone Casino, Bloomsburg State Fair, Mohegan Sun Pocono Casino and Luzerne County Fair. In 2015, he won Battle Of The Bands with Stealing Neil, 2017 Steamtown Music Awards Country Artist Of The Year. RJ has opened for Morgan Frazier (The Voice) and Country Music Charts Topper Walker Hayes.
