An audience member should expect a lively and entertaining performance that features a wide variety of music that will appeal to all tastes. A client should expect a group that will be timely, respectful and appropriate. The Bostonians pride themselves in the professionalism while maintaining a positive attitude. We take the time to research our venue and audience so that we can cater our performance to them.
The Bostonians of Boston College is BC's original and premiere a cappella group. For twenty-five crazy years we've been making music, traveling from coast to coast, and having a whole lot of fun along the way. Our classic co-ed sound has been heard from Mexico to Montreal and on over ten studio recorded albums and EPs. We just released our brand new album this spring "Niceties" which can be found on iTunes! The Bostonians perform at private events in Boston and throughout the Northeast. The group is approximately 15-17 members depending on the year, ranging from freshman to seniors. Our repertoire can be tailored based on the event venue and the audience. Current songs range from "September" by Earth, Wind, and Fire to a mashup of "Roar" by Katy Perry and "Brave" by Sara Bareilles.
We can perform in a multitude of venues with various types of equipment. We have performed outside with and without microphones and also at indoor events with and without microphones. It all depends on the size of the space and the size of the audience. We have equipment of our own, however we tend to use whatever the client makes available to us. We stand in a basic arc and do minimal choreography so we do not need extensive space for moving around. In terms of lighting, we have no preference.
Current Repertoire:
"Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse
"Im Not the Only One" by Sam Smith
"Shake it Off" by Taylor Swift

A Capella culture has recently boomed within the past few years. The Bostonians were founded in 1986 and were one of the first co-ed a cappella groups in the country. We are heavily influenced all types of artists as well as other collegiate and professional A Cappella groups.
