I had That Magic Guy come to the school that I teach in for a carnival for kindergarten and first grade. There were over 80 children and they had a wonderful time. Everyone had a blast at the magic show. I am hoping to make this an annual event! I would recommend him to
anyone, he was punctual, affordable, and great with the kids. - By “Teacher”
We booked "That Magic Guy" for our daughters 6th birthday party. It was a "Frozen" themed party and TMG was so accommodating to talk about Frozen during his act and incorporate parts of the movie for their enjoyment. All of the kids enjoyed themselves and were giggling and laughing the whole time. They have been talking about the party ever since!
I booked the Magic Guy for 55 kids at a special needs camp. Our kids range from 7-25, with an intellectual age of 5-8, so he had a wide range of children to connect with. They absolutely loved the performance and we would love to have him back in the future! From a professional stand point, he was easy to work with and answered my questions promptly.
That Magic Guy was awesome. The 1000 cub scouts, siblings and their parents were treated by the show during 2 halloween day events hosted by the New Birth of Freedom BSA. That Magic Guy performed 2 shows each Saturday. He gave us a discount due to being a supporter of scouting. He is very kid appropriate and very interactive with the audience. We will definitely be using him again. He would be perfect entertainment for Blue and Gold Banquets. He offers discount to all scouting events. Call him you won't be disappointed. we weren't.
Response from That Magic Guy:
Thanks... Had a great time performing at your event!
That Magic Guy was GREAT! Everyone I talked to said they enjoyed the show. I know he had my son and all of his friends laughing. My husband said you did a good job of picking the right type of magic tricks for the audience. Many of the people are still trying to figure out how you did the rope thru your body! My nephew, Colin who dabbled in a few simple magic tricks himself couldn't figure the tricks of the black bag which he helped with or the card trick that I participated in.
I think the set up of the backdrop, his fun looking ourtfit and friendly personality added to the presentation of the magic show. I think everyone loved the audience participation. Laughter is great for the soul and That Magic Guy's show made a lot of people especially Matt feel so grand for one night. Thank you so much John!
Aloha,
Very impressed with "That Magic Guy" and his entertaining & professional presentation for my son's 6th birthday party. He had both kids & adults laughing throughout the entire party. Many other parents stayed & enjoyed the show as well! Great interaction with the kids. Would definitely recommend him and will have him back when my youngest daughter turns 6 and has her kindergarten/birthday party! ~ Sue, Mechanicsburg

John received his first real “hands on” exposure at a local magic shop, with that one effect blazing in his eyes, he knew this was something he wanted to spend his life doing. Unfortunately things like eating & paying rent had to come first, so he couldn’t run off to join the Circus. Not to mention the fact that his darling wife and 3 kids would be really mad at him; the wife for joining the circus in the first place and the kids for not taking them along.
Since the Circus was out John did the next best thing, Street Performing. As the greats of old, he would follow in their footsteps. The Lancaster Farmers Market soon became the place to see him ply his trade early Saturday mornings. With
Rings a’ Linking, Balloons a Popping, and smiles as far as you could see, crowds both young & old gather to see him perform his Magic...
John is a member in good standing in both the International Brotherhood of Magicians {IBM} & The Society of American Magicians {SAM} as well as The Magicians Alliance of Eastern States {MAES} & The Lancaster Professional Magicians . He has served 3 terms as President of The Capitol Area Professional Magicians a joint IBM / SAM group here in the local Harrisburg area.
