T Lawrence-Simon is an experienced aerialist, theater performer, and designer (both in costumes and lighting and sound). Originally from Philadelphia, now residing in Vermont, T brings his physical theater background to circus to create a performance that is both highly technical yet intimate and full of nuance. Acts available (and customizable to your event) on both circus and aerial dance trapeze, rope, fabric, lyra, and horizontal hoop.
T the Amazing is a hoop angel who uses whimsy, humor, skill, and grace to create performances that are as fun as they are beautiful.
T. was part of the Philadelphia Circus School for the Arts performers who I hired at our(The Chestnut Hill Business Association) Fall for the Arts Festival. This festival is 25 years old and gets 30,000 attendees. The Circus School set up was at the top of the festival so the performers need to be a great draw. T. performed on hoop twice that day and his performance drew an enthusiastic crowd. He was and exciting and unique performer. He was a hit. Sorry we weren't able to hire him again!

T Lawrence-Simon, or Tyler as he is also known, is a Philadelphia native, Boston resident, and world frolicker. He discovered an aptitude for aerial acts at a young age when he choreographed and performed the “Bare Butt Swing” (not for hire) on a hammock whilst on vacation in the tropics. A man of many interests and talents, T has studied dance, acting, physical theater, gymnastics, magic, piano, guitar, and classical flute. He also has a B.A. from Temple University in Theater concentrating in Stage Management, Lighting and Costume Design.
While in high school, he learned to juggle and was a founding member of the performance troupe called “Infinity Abridged.” After being inspired by Cirque du Soleil, T began his formal aerial training at the age of 18. Since then, he has performed circus acts at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts, the Greene Street Studio, the Headlong Performance Institute, Studio 34, and Temple University to name a few. He is currently developing “INSOMNaeria”, a solo performance show that incorporates theater with circus; a tale of exhaustion and restlessness.
