A high energy, funfilled, concert that you won't forget.
Put your hands together for New Artist Radio’s 2003 Country Male Artist of the Year, Shane Keane. Following such influences as Johnny Horton, George Jones and George Strait, Keane, 26, has made a splash in the country music scene as a member of the Castle Records family, headed by CEO Ed Russell. Keane’s inspirational lyrics and old country sound connect with people everywhere. His recent single, “Pearl McCoy” held the number one spot for two weeks, was nominated for 2003 Country Song of the Year award, and appeared in the CMT Magazine compilation album. Born and raised in the small town of Alliance, Neb., Keane started his career three years ago. He came from a long line of engineers and was the oldest of three boys. His connection to music came from long evenings spent teaching himself to play the guitar and how to write music. “Connecting with people through music is so intimate,” Keane says. “They relate to music like no other way of communication.” In 2002 Keane started his musical quest by performing at county fairs in his hometown. At 23, Keane took a chance and followed his music to Nashville, the place he thought he would “make it or break it”. Castle Records signed him shortly after. He went on to headline for country-legend Willie Nelson. It was a dream come true for Keane. His performance received great reviews, but the true compliment came directly after the show. “As Willie and his staff walked by, he [Nelson] put his hand on my shoulder and said, ‘Ata-boy.’ I have never felt so blessed in my entire life,” Keane reflects. May 12, 2003, New Artist Radio held their Annual Awards Show in Salt Lake City, Utah. Keane was nominated for two awards involving his debut single “Pearl McCoy”; Country Song of the Year and Song of the Year in all categories and awarded Country Male Artist of the Year. Keane was thrilled for such accolades. Recollecting the moment, Keane says, “I never expected this moment to come. I knew that I had worked hard and was proud of all I had accomplished, but I knew there so much talent and love for music out there. I was overwhelmed with joy that people excepted and truly liked my music.” During the Country Broadcasting Seminar in March 2004, Keane performed at the World Famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. Keane knew this was a tremendous opportunity. The Legendary Honky-tonk on Broadway has birthed such musicians as Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and Hank Williams. Although Keane’s career began three years ago and each day is a new adventure. His path has been short, but headed in the right direction. His rare, pure country sound and passion for music is refreshing to the country scene. Keane has a lot to look forward to in the upcoming year. His debut music video for “Pearl McCoy” will be released later in the year, and his new album “Bad Attitude” will be released to stores late spring. That was then and this is now. Launching my new single, "The Strength That I Don't Have" in October of 2015, already receiving great reviews. Looking forward to the future and what amazing things lay ahead.
