An audience would see a high level musician, who performs a wide variety of music with precision, touch, and beautiful tone. The music is distinctive, but not over-powering. A client would get the same things as an audience member, plus someone who's easy to work with, professional, and reliable.
I'm a classically trained guitarist, with a repertoire that spans five centuries and multiple styles. I spent a year in Los Angeles studying at Musician's Institute in Hollywood. While in L.A, I studied with Grammy Award winning classical guitarist/composer, Evan Hirschelman. Evan helped me to become a more technically sound, well-rounded, and expressive musician.
I continued my studies at Prairie State College and joined the PSC jazz band in 2008. I won a most outstanding player award at the Lake County Community College Jazz Contest. I graduated from Prairie State with a Liberal Arts degree in 2009, and decided to dedicate myself primarily to classical guitar. In 2013, I decided to continue my classical guitar studies at Columbia College Chicago. I'm a performance scholarship award winner at Columbia College and in December 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree.
I've developed a repertoire of over 40 solo guitar tunes. My repertoire is versitile, and includes classical music, jazz tunes, popular songs from many different decades, and a few of my own compositions.
Currently, I'm teaching guitar at Beverly Arts Center, and I travel all over the Chicagoland area teaching and performing. I've been fortunate to study with some of the world's best musicians, and I couldn't be more passionate about sharing what I've learned through performance and teaching.
I need a normal chair with no arms or wheels, and that's it.
