Niki Smart's first memoir "Hell Camp" is about surviving a traumatic childhood with a mother suffering from Border Personality Disorder, and how forgiveness was key in moving forward with her life. Niki's second memoir "Helter Shelter" deals with a heart break (crisis) she suffered while working at a Crisis Intervention shelter for teenagers. Niki talks about her experiences with humor and insight, and hopes to guide others on their path towards self-discovery and forgiveness (of self and perpetrators). Niki likes to engage her audience and hopes to help others release their burdens of the past.
