Thank you for your time, and we look forward to working with you!
The Midas String Quartet delivered a fantastic and entertaining experience for our guests during the ceremony and all the way through cocktail hour. They were flexible with the set list and allowed us to choose the songs we liked from their extensive list and were also willing to learn new pieces if the sheet music was available. Guests raved about their performance -- overall they were a wonderful addition to the wedding, providing an unforgettable experience for everyone. Drew who is part of the quartet coordinated everything with us in the months ahead and was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

Standard Pricing
WEDDING: Ceremony - $650 for quartet
Cocktail hour: (150/hr)
Private Events - $150/HR/Musician
Corporate Events and Formal Concerts - varies on service.
A standard Wedding ceremony service includes:
* 20 minutes of custom tailored prelude music as your guests arrive and are seated
* Music as needed for the entire wedding ceremony: standard music placement would be to include music at the seating of the mothers, the processionals of both parties, candle lighting ceremony, perhaps a musical offering preceding or following vows, recessional, etc.
* 10-15 minutes of postlude music as the ceremony hall clears.
ALL WEDDING CEREMONIES ARE BILLED AS A SET RATE OF ONE HOUR OF SERVICE FOR THE PROPER CEREMONY.
Lateness policy: We bill our wedding ceremonies at a set rate because the process invariably is about one hour. Weddings commonly start slightly after the scheduled time and our rates are engineered to accommodate that. To protect our time however, we do have a tardy policy that if a wedding ceremony begins more than 30 minutes past time, we will bill you for any additional time at our standard rate of 150$/hr/musician. We would be more than happy to provide music for the entire wait, this policy is entirely to protect our musicians time commitment.
Reception//cocktail hour music is also available from The Midas Ensemble. We pro-rate additional hours of service that you desire from us in addition to the wedding ceremony as a small incentive. Consider us for a dinner showcase, reception, or cocktail hour.
EVENTS DESCRIPTION:
The Midas Ensemble is a professional music ensemble based in the Hudson Valley. We offer musical entertainment to the discerning public as well as corporate events, in a variety of styles and genres.
In addition to offering the famous staples of classical music, the Midas Ensemble also has a library of energetic and fun pop/rock transcriptions to provide your event with a variety of color. Music not available in public domain (free to perform) will incur rental//rights fees. Generally speaking, obtaining a custom arrangement of a pop tune will cost $10-15 per song, and performance rights to things like Vitamin String Ensemble arrangements can cost up to $50 per song or book. Included in our packet of materials is a repertoire list from PoppedMusic Arrangements. All of these titles and more are available in the 10-20$ range.
As a flexible ensemble, we also can offer a variety of ensemble configuration with different size and instrumentation based on your events needs. As members of a larger organization we do have access to wind and brass instruments readily, however the traditional string quartet is usually the most appropriate instrumentation.
All pricing includes all set up, break down, and travel//mileage within 25 miles of Kingston or Annandale, and includes all music that is available within the public domain.
