Marika Sila offers a captivating performance inspired by her Indigenous heritage. In a 15-30 minute performance, Marika performs a fire & ice flag dance, a hoop dance and fire performance along with a spoken word and keynote speech. Depending on time restraints, fire restrictions, and the clients needs & wants, Marika is able to cater her performance for any type of event. She mainly performs for corporate events, weddings, festivals, community gatherings and schools across Canada. Marika primarily works with RedPath Talent, a company she co-founded with her partner James Jones. Together they have performed all across Canada, the U.S and Europe where they had the honour of performing for the Royal Family and the president of France. James and Marika offer a spectacular 30- 60 minute traditional and modern Indigenous performance, which includes flute playing, Traditional First Nations hoop dancing, comedy and break dancing, alongside Marika’s Inuit inspired performance series. James and Marika also offer Youth Empowerment Programs, Workshops, and week-long Camps! Marika Sila is an Inuit actress from Yellowknife, NWT. She is best known for her work on the popular TV series ‘The Twilight Zone’ where she played the lead role as Sergeant Yuka Mongoyak, the first female Inuit police officer to attain the rank of Sergeant in the state of Alaska. Marika also specializes in stunts and special skills including, hoop dancing, fire spinning, sword and staff handling. She started her special skills journey as a hoop dancer, and was recently voted Canadian Hoop Dancer of the Year. She is co-founder of RedPath talent and has travelled across Canada, the U.S and Europe performing and hosting youth empowerment programs raising awareness about the power of sobriety, anti-bullying, and mental health. Marika is currently filming a TV series called ‘Tribal’, and is focusing on expanding RedPath Empowerment projects to schools and communities across Canada.
