My name is Kyra and I'm a photographer, graphic design, illustrator and artist. I absolutely love working with kids when it comes to photography and teaching art classes. I'm also a muralist and often times work with new business owners who need some creativity in their environment/establishment. Book me and I can help add value to your businesses and events through art and photography!

My name is Kyra Chambers and I’m a full-time photographer, graphic designer and illustrator. As a freelancer, I always think to myself that I don’t want to perpetuate the stereotype of a starving artist, so I constantly think of innovative ways to make the same amount of income as a full-time job. And I believe the best way to grow and succeed is to help others grow and succeed, and how I achieve this goal is by helping entrepreneurs, artists, business owners, and anyone in the beginning stages of self-employment. Some ways I do this is creating logos for people starting new businesses, painting murals for new business owners that are building new establishments, and throwing events with vendors, teaching photographers and models how to network and interact with one another, especially if they’re just starting off.
History
I discovered my passion for photography and drawing my senior year of high school. After graduating, I didn’t know what I wanted to do as a career so I switched my major about three times before coming across the Graphic Design program at MCC about 4 years ago. After a semester or two, that’s when I realized I wanted to be my own boss and make a living from my art and photography forever.
Objective
The road to self-employment and freelancing is very difficult because the whole journey to success is about trial and error, and you’re kind of learning things on your own. If I had someone teach me the things that I know now when I first started, I would be so grateful and this journey wouldn’t feel so lonely. So my objective is to create opportunities where people can network, learn and create from one another.
Solutions
That being said, I know that getting the exposure you need can be a real struggle. With this in mind, I put together various events in my community where fellow artists, models, photographers, and the general public can gather together and practice their craft while expanding their connections.
