Gabriele Guma

The guy with the big afro and the weird accent, Ethiopian-born and Italian-raised Gabriele Guma, is a professional dancer (formerly with Philadanco), teacher and singer and musician. He is best known for his previous work as lead guitarist, writer and front man of his own Philly-based rock/soul band GAB GUMA & Tangible Truth, the hip hop group Tangled Thoughts , the hip hop/rock band GrindCity and now, Stereotytans.

While recording and touring with his heavy rock band Stereotytans ,Gabriele has been recording an extensive catalogue of songs in anticipation of his highly anticipated solo album. 

Gabriele has now also a solo act in which he performs some original songs as well as covers that range in styles like blues, funk , soul , reggae and rock. He brings a great vibe to theaters and venues with patrons that appreciate good guitar playing and soulful vocals. Gabriele is also passionate about teaching both dance and music. After teaching the two art forms working for many prestigious schools for many years, he now owns and operates the Gabriele Guma Guitar School.

With a love for the community, Gabriele and his wife Tiffany run a non profit organization called Montco Community Wellness Workshop .

Gabriele has toured for most of his life as both a dancer and musician. He toured as the guitarist for hip hop/soul legend Ms. Lauryn Hill, playing alongside legendary bassist Doug Wimbish. Gabriele has toured as an opening act with Grammy Award-Winning band Living Colour and N.E.R.D. His great musical range allowed him to also share the stage with major artists of all genres including Method Man, Nas, Mob Deep, Ciara,Kindred, Take 6, Syleena Johnson, Eric Gales, Silvertide, Marc Rizzo (of Soulfly), Carol Riddick, The Isley Brothers, Ledisi, Nile Rodgers, Cool & The  Gang and Bill Jolly to name a few. 

Gabriele is a highly respected and sought after musician for live performance and studio work.

Gabriele has developed into a versatile guitarist who uses the guitar as his second language. Gabriele draws influences from Jimi Hendrix to BB King, Joe Satriani to Steve Vai, Carlos Santana to Miles Davis, Stevie Ray Vaughan to Greg Howe,

Slash and Tom Morrello to classical composers into his own signature riffs, unique sound and passionate solos all while displaying a very energetic physical live performance. With a style that is constantly evolving and that is hard to define with one genre, with the ambition to reach new musical hights and the desire to tell his unique story, Gabriele is excited to realize his life long dream to merge his passions, his cultural influences and various talents into an eclectic and unique expression of love and positivity.
