We are ECHOES, a Pink Floyd tribute band based in Northern VA. Our passion is faithfully re-creating the music and vibe of the live Pink Floyd experience. We play the best songs from Dark side of the Moon, Wish you Were Here, The Wall, Animals and more. The core band consists of 5 musicians (guitars, keys / synth, bass, drums, vocals), and for live shows we often add backup singers and a saxophone player to the mix to capture the authentic sounds of The Floyd. We are all experienced professional musicians with a long history of performing live music for many appreciative music lovers. We can also provide pro audio and an amazing computer-generated laser show to go with our music.

GRAHAM DREW
Graham is the lead guitarist and main vocalist for Echoes. He originates from London, England and has played guitar for over 25 years. Inspired to pick up the guitar by a late night viewing of ‘Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii’ at age 11, he has always felt a strong connection to David Gilmour’s sound and style and has always felt David's influence in his playing. He has played lead guitar with many live bands and other artists' recording projects over the years as well as his own band Jade Fox, which operated in the UK and US between 1996 and 2004. Graham faithfully recreates David Gilmour's distinctive sound and style by playing various Fender Stratocaster, Fender Telecaster, Gibson Les Paul and lap steel guitars through vintage Fender amplifiers, and he also employs a variety of effects to achieve David's unmistakable guitar tones.
DAVID RUCKMAN
David brings the power and majesty of Roger Waters’ unique bass tones to the band. David has been moving massive quantities of air with his vintage Fender Precision Bass, Moog Taurus Pedals and Ampeg amps and cabs since the late 80’s, when he joined the popular DC punk-funk band TheDeepEnd. Since then, he’s been rocking the area with a variety of rock and progressive bands. As a long time student and fan of The Floyd, he is thrilled to be “bringing it back home” by focusing on perfecting the live sound of Pink Floyd with Echoes.
JAMES MADAR
James hails from Washington D.C., and provides rhythm guitars and backing vocals to Echoes where he channels the guitar mojo of Snowy White and Tim Renwick. James has been playing guitar for 15 years and has always been inspired by the music of Pink Floyd. A huge fan of prog rock and psychedelic music with many other musical influences James plays Fender, Jackson and Takamine guitars through his Marshall JVM 410H amp and employs a variety of pedals.
ZACH FURNESS
Zach has been playing piano and keyboards since he was a child and is a veteran of numerous Northern Virginia rock bands. He is a huge fan of Pink Floyd and has been dissecting Rick Wright’s contributions to the band's unique sonic architecture for years. And he’s got the gear (Nord Electro 2, Korg Triton Extreme, Speakeasy Vintage Tube Preamp for starters) and the chops to provide a faithful recreation of Wright’s sound.
CHRIS RUCKMAN
Chris grew up in Syracuse, NY with his brother, Echoes bassist David Ruckman. Chris drew his musical inspiration from progressive rock drummers of the 1970s including Phil Collins, Bill Bruford, Carl Palmer and obviously Nick Mason. In recent years, Chris has been known mainly for his work in the Blues genre, co-founding Acme Blues Company and gigging all over Virginia, Maryland and DC until joining Echoes in 2009. An accomplished engineer with a PhD in acoustics, Dr. Ruckman prefers Paiste cymbals and the sweet, fat sound of Tama Starclassic Birch drums tuned low with Aquarian heads.
