I am a Professional Entertainer. I specialize in traditional country twang and oldies (late 50-early 70 rock) 3 years full time. I ware western attire and sing to professional pre-recorded music. I use a Computer. My guitar and mic are wireless. All is powered by a Yamaha mixer and 2, PR 15 speakers. I sing appx.50% old classics and 50% today’s traditional country. I cover: Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willy Nelson, Mearl Haggard, Hank Williams Sr., & Jr., George Streight, Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney exc.. with full emotion. I move about the audience singing. I use my performing area, props, guitar, and song arrangement to entertain.
Thanks, Don

Excellent tradetional country music and personable singing. Don often leaves the comfort of the stage or entertainer area with his wireless microphone and wireless rythem guitar and moves through the audiance singing to all, stoping now and again to sing one-on-one with someone. Don is a personable singer and makes you feel the music and words.
Don uses professional pre-recorded music complete with back up vocals and instrmental breaks, for a full band sound. Don play's rythem guitar along with the pre-recorded music as needed.
Don O'neal is devoted full time to traditional country music. Don specializes in covering the classic country songs of Nelson, Jones, Jennings, Cash, Coe, and Haggard, but also adds today's traditional country as well. "I love traditional country music, both old and new" Don said in a recent interview, and it's clearly evident as he moves about his audience mixing classic hard-core country tunes with today's traditional twang of Toby Keith, Kenny Chessney, Gary Allen, and Josh Turner.
"I am strictly traditional, I love slow sensuous songs like Your Man by Josh Turner, but I also enjoy the fast hard driving traditional style of Fast Forward by Kenny Chessney. To me there is nothing like those hard luck story lines like Seashores of Old Mexico by George Straight and Stay here and drink by Mearl Haggard.
I also love the old classic rock song from the late fifties and sixties. Bands like CCR and the Eagles and the Platers".
Don is a one-man-band with personality. Part of what sets Don aside from other entertainers is his ability to leave the stage and sing one-on-one with the audience. Don can not stand still when he sings and this lead him to the wireless microphone and wireless guitar system he uses in his performances. Don believes everyone should feel welcome and know they are a part of the party, and the best way to accomplish this is to get on the floor with them.
Don has high quality professional equipment which produces an excellent sound for most venues, inside or outside. He uses top quality pre-recorded music which includes back up vocals and instrumental break music. Don is not a hot lead guitar player, instead he plays rhythm guitar along with his pre-recorded music, but occasionaly he will cut the computer off and hit the floor with just the guitar.
Don has a busy schedule booking three months ahead and working between 12 and 15 shows a month in the three county area of Lake, Sumter, and Hernando. For booking information call Donald Haywood Entertainment at (phone number hidden) and ask for Dawn.
