Sgt. Traven, Army Recruiter
Its’ 1864, with the war in its’ final stages, and Sgt. Traven is on the road to drum up recruits for the 13th New York Cavalry, according to Mr. Lincoln’s call for 200, 000 troops. If outdoors, he arrives complete with his traveling “recruiting office” where potential “recruits” hear the Sgt. discuss the situation in the field, the monetary bounties offered for enlisting, the winning strategy of newly-appointed Gen. Ulysses Grant, and Mr. Lincoln’s re-election prospects. And, they can actually join the re-created 13th N.Y. Cavalry!
