We are a Christian rock band who perform original songs for nearly any type of event where live music is desired. There is a message behind our music and we hope to spread that message (through our music) to as many people as possible.
We are also able to provide our music through physical CD sales at your event.
Our style ranges from full on rock songs to slow acoustic ballads and variants in between.

Our performance will consist of a high range of volumes and musical styles rooted in rock and blues. Our music has a message, so there will be opportunities where we will speak about the nature of the songs, what their meaning is, and include general interactions with the audience. In addition, we typically would expect to set up a merchandise table to sell CD's or other band merchandise.
We are friendly, easy to work with, flexible, and willing to work with any client who needs live music at their event.
Born from a common desire to serve the Lord, a calling to perform and use the talent He gave each member, and believing we are made for His purpose – the band City of Nations was formed out of a group of Worship Team members from Brighton Christian Church in Southeast Michigan.
City of Nations draws its name and inspiration from the book of Revelation 5:9-10.
And they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
The band is made up of a fairly diverse group of individuals, both in ages and musical background which lends itself to the group’s ability to write and perform a range of songs and musical styles.
The founding members and creative energy of the group comes from the young husband and wife team of Dan and Lindsey Suminski. Dan and Lindsey met at Spring Arbor University while serving on the school's Chapel Band. Early in their relationship they felt a strong calling to serve the Lord together in music ministry and have been writing music and leading music in the church ever since.
Driven by the truth that the Lord Jesus Christ is alive and desires to use His people through the power of the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel and make disciples of all nations, the band City of Nations strives to be a vehicle of His will, allowing the Holy Spirit to touch hearts and minds via the music He creates thru His obedient servants – City of Nations.

Our set list will typically cover 1-2 hours depending on the client needs. In a full 2-hour set, we will usually split it into 3 sections: (1) full band playing 7-8 songs for 45-60 mins, (2) acoustic songs with Dan and Lindsey only for approx. 20-30, short break (optional, depending on event and venue), and (3) resume with full band for the remainder of the time (another 6 or so songs). On occasion, we have begun our 2-hour set with the acoustic songs and finished the remainder of the time with the full band set.
In a shorter set (< 1-hour), we will mix one or 2 of the acoustic songs in with the full band songs and play continuously for that hour.
Again, depending on need of the event or the client, we can be flexible. Here's an example of our song list for a recent gig:
