Chuck Richards, a native Californian and resident of Merced, CA, has recorded three albums, available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Soundcloud. He has spent years busking and playing a variety of venues: performance halls, restaurants, pubs, bars, coffee houses, street fairs, house concerts and parties.
Chuck Richards has played with or opened for a variety of talented musicians including anti-folk originator, Cindy Lee Berryhill, and the late Jeff Buckley. He has also played and recorded with Christopher Hoffee (White Buffalo, Atom Orr), and Matt Lynott (White Buffalo). Chuck Richards has recorded and performed as a solo-performer and in bands, for roughly thirty-five years.
In addition to over two hours of original performance material, Chuck Richards has added to his repertoire a unique selection of popular cover songs, enabling him to perform for between three and four hours without repeats. His cover material ranges from the late 60s, and 70s, with artists such as Jackson Browne, James Taylor, and the Grateful Dead, through to the present, playing everything from Talking Heads, Bright Eyes to Avett Brothers, The Lumineers and the Milk Carton Kids. Chuck has a warm and inviting stage presence. He can engage the audience in sing-a-longs, or lay back and provide the necessary soundtrack to your special event.
Chuck Richards can provide appropriate sound equipment for most events, along with mood lighting. He comes prepared with extension cords and can accommodate accompanists.
