Bruce Noble grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick and started playing guitar at age 10. He played in bands all through junior high and high school. While juggling his schoolwork, he also toured extensively throughout Atlantic Canada. After graduation Bruce joined up with a musical act from London, England and toured Canada. He played with popular progressive rock bands Junction and Aquafuge throughout Atlantic Canada.
Eventually Bruce moved to Los Angeles, California in 1979 to attend Hollywood's famous music school, Musician's Institute, GIT. While in LA, he studied and played with world renowned rock and jazz greats such as MI founder Howard Roberts, and studio legend & world's most recorded guitarist, Tommy Tedesco. Branching out, he also studied with fusion and session players Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Robben Ford, Joe Diorio, Pat Metheny and many others. During his Hollywood years, he performed and recorded with several artists and bands at clubs such as The Troubadour and The Whiskey-A-Go-Go. A special experience at that time was an appearance in a scene in the "Blues Brothers" movie with Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi !
After graduation from MI, specializing in Guitar Performance, Composition and Education he returned to Canada for a tour with Canadian legends Mashmakan. Having built up his skills and experience in the United States, Bruce then moved back to Halifax, Canada, settling in to a busy teaching and performing schedule. In the early 90's Bruce put together the band for recording artist Edde Maxx for the worldwide distributed CD on the Sony label and also found time to perform in three videos which played on MTV, Much Music and throughout Europe. Additionally, Bruce has made several trips to England where he has played and recorded with many different artists.
Setting up his own business he was presented with "Entrepreneur of the Year" By the Chamber of Commerce in Hants County. Lately with all of his recording efforts he has an exciting online project with a colleague from his old hometown, Moncton. This groundbreaking tech is taking them back and forth from Halifax to L.A. .
Bruce finds it fun to get out and play the great tunes from Standards to Motown to Pop like Steely Dan, and with the phenomenal sounds of Backing tracks with Live Players, you are getting a real band of killer players with one Mean guitar player onstage or opt for his Duo with Rick Edgett also out of Moncton to Halifax and the interplay is astounding instrumentally and vocally.
