Forgoing the pretense of wigs and make-up, BowieVision combines deft musicianship, masterful stage presence, and stunning video projections to create what the Stranger calls "one hell of a night for Bowie diehards."
Eight accomplished, experienced performers combine their talents to deliver rock anthems like Rebel Rebel and Suffragette City; the wide-screen balladry of Life on Mars?, Space Oddity, and Changes; mid-70s “plastic soul” (Golden Years, Young Americans, Fame;) art-pop experiments like Fashion, Heroes, and Ashes to Ashes; and the high-sheen Eighties classics Let’s Dance, China Girl, and Blue Jean.
BowieVision is the real deal. Accept no imitations.

Since its inception in 2013, BowieVision has quickly risen to the top of the Northwest club scene, drawing rapturous crowds to sold-out shows at clubs like the Crocodile, Triple Door, the Showbox, and Nectar in Seattle and the Crystal Ballroom and Doug Fir in Portland. The band brings the same high-energy professional approach to every performance public or private and is made up of responsible, skilled musicians with decades of experience in the entertainment industry. BowieVision goes above and beyond to ensure our clients are delighted with the experience of working with us both before and during your special event.
While others imitate, BowieVision elevates. Forgoing the pretense of wigs and makeup and focusing instead on interpreting David Bowie’s eclectic and expansive musical catalog, BowieVision raises the bar for what a tribute band can be. Formed in 2013 by members of Seattle bands the Dudley Manlove Quartet, Purr Gato, Funky to Death, and Spekulation, BowieVision has quickly risen to the top of the Northwest tribute band scene.
Actually, a BowieVision performance is better described as a celebration than a tribute. While lead singer Stefan Mitchell’s dynamic vocals and sense of showmanship are impressive enough, he also shares Bowie’s rare gift for connecting with an audience by creating an atmosphere that’s simultaneously epic and intimate, an approach that resonates with audiences on a deeper level than mere impersonation ever could.
Combining deft musicianship, masterful stage presence, and stunning lighting and video effects, BowieVision’s concert-magnitude experience is drawing capacity crowds to top Seattle venues like the Crocodile, Triple Door, Nectar, and Showbox, as well as premiere Portland clubs Doug Fir and the Crystal Ballroom.
The band puts its unique stamp on rock anthems like Rebel Rebel and Suffragette City; the wide-screen balladry of Life on Mars?, Space Oddity, and Changes; mid-70s “plastic soul” (Golden Years, Young Americans, Fame;) art-pop experiments like Fashion, Heroes, and Ashes to Ashes; and the high-sheen Eighties classics Let’s Dance, China Girl, and Blue Jean. Others try hard to look the part without delivering the goods musically, but BowieVision puts the emphasis where it should be, connecting audiences with the incredibly diverse Bowie music they know and love and delivering it with an unparalleled level of musicianship and professionalism. Best of all, BowieVision's repertoire is designed to delight Bowie fanatics and casual fans alike.
Although Bowie’s personas have been ever-changing, his music is timeless. It’s this realization that elevates BowieVision above the realm of trite nostalgia. It may be a bold statement to make about a “tribute” band, but it’s a fact: BowieVision is the real deal. Accept no imitations.
Our current song list follows. We're always adding more songs to the set, and for performances longer than 90 minutes we can augment the Bowie songs with other great material from the 70s and 80s to fill a three-hour performance.
