New orleans style second line.
Groups can be adjusted to fit your budget.
We had a trio from Boomtown come for our Arti Gras celebration at our brewery. The group was wonderful! We received nothing but fantastic feedback from our guests. The trio showed up with plenty of time to set up, started playing immediately at the agreed upon time, and was extremely professional and positive throughout the day. I'm already looking forward to having them come and play for future events.

We can provide all manner of traditional New-Orleans -style jazz: from a seated, retro jazz ensemble to a New Orleans-style marching band to lead your parade! Boomtown Brass Band is the perfect group for elegant events and can really add to the atmosphere of a 1920s/Gatsby-themed event. That means we play all the authentic selections (from New Orleans classics to upbeat Chicago swing) in the most authentic fashion. We also work with professional and amateur dancers to add engagement to events by pepping up parties and inviting your guests to dance.
Houston's Boomtown Brass Band is steeped in the tradition of authentic 1920s hot jazz. The Boomtown sound is based on the classic New Orleans jazz style, with elements of Chicago “dixieland”, early 1930s “gypsy jazz”, and a touch of New Orleans second line parade music. Since its inception in 2015, Boomtown has become wildly popular in Houston, known as great music for listening or dancing, with a strong following of dancers.
Boomtown Brass Band features the interplay of cornet, clarinet, trombone, banjo, guitar, tuba, washboard percussion and vocals. Boomtown is proud to be Houston's only dedicated "trad" jazz band, citing among its influences: Louis Armstrong's Hot Five and Hot Seven, Joe "King" Oliver, New Orleans Rhythm Kings, Bix Beiderbecke, and Jabbo Smith, to name a few.
Boomtown Brass Band is completely traditional and does not require a PA system—only a power source for small vocal/guitar/banjo amps. That also means that we are NOT LOUD and can entertain at a low volume. We also do not require
