Hello, my name is Barb Field and I live in Mount Vision, NY. I am a certified teacher and mother of eight grown children. My clowning career had it's beginning in 1989 on a two week trip to Mexico. There I discovered a love for the art of mime. Since then I have participated in numerous mime intensive training weeks and has done countless performances and workshops. Ten years ago I attended my first clown training week. There I was able to combine all my mime background with a new clown face to develop my first clown characters, "BJ" and "Prof. Womboggle". Recently "Dr. Merry Heart" began working in local hospitals. Often when I come to an event I will bring along a friend to help. Sometimes it's Sparkles, a joyful junior clown, or another face painter or balloon artist.
Just recently I have taken on the role of full-time town. Considering the diversity of the skills I have worked on for many years, I would have to consider myself a Real Hometown Clown.

I would have to say that I have a real passion for teaching the art of clowning. I have seen too many “clowns” with great make-up and costuming, but they are so lacking in character. When I teach, I like to emphasize working from the inside out ... finding the real essence of the clown inside and helping people to develop their own clown personality. My classes are most often hands-on. I think it is very important to get people up and moving in order to feel what they are learning in their own bodies.
I also have a passion for sharing the Gospel! I love to work alongside churches and other Christian ministries to help them reach out to their communities.
Let me know how I can best help you with your next event.
