Nina Tritenichenko hails from Kyiv – the capital of Ukraine, where she completed her musical studies at the Faculty of Music of the Drahomaniv State University under the coaching of the famous chromatic accordion teacher Ivan Rizol. Starting her studies at age 7, she became a virtuoso accordion player and completed her music studies with major general music education and choral conducting in 1991. She has performed in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Sacramento, San Francisco and Reno, Nevada. Nina was invited guest soloist with Sons of Orpheus — The Male Choir of Tucson and the Tucson Accordion Festival. Nina plays European and American classical and popular music. She strives to add many additional musical styles to her repertoire, both western and eastern.
Nina is the founder, artistic Director, music arranger, accordion player and singer of the Barvinok Ensemble. The Ensemble is an instrumental and vocal group and has performed in the Tucson and Phoenix areas since 2002. Currently Barvinok ensemble is located in Holland, Michigan. Barvinok interprets Eastern European traditional ethnic music. The Ensemble performed at many San Francisco Bay area festivals, including Santa Clara County Fair, San Mateo County Fair, Russian festival in Palo Alto and San Francisco and World Music Sundays at Santana Row in San Jose, CA.
Nina is founder and director of the Bayanina music studio. Nina is a member of OAKE: organization of American Kodaly educators and a BDAA (Balalaika and domra association of America)
