"the effect was both beautiful and plaintive. The song transcended..." - Ben Van Huevelen, KTB Journal, on a performance by Jason Sagebiel.
Jason Sagebiel has given several world premiers and has appeared, with great reviews, as a soloist and chamber musician in numerous engagements with performances at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, the Princeton Festival, and the Van Der Stucken Festival. He has been featured on the WNYC radio program 'Soundcheck', has received invitations to perform at festivals in Russia and Mexico, and was the featured performer and composer of the acclaimed concerts and conversations series where noted music critic Alex Ross remarked "I'm fascinated by your story and your music, and very moved, I think, by the layers of meaning ...its really quite amazing." A well respected teacher, Jason is an Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York, and maintains a bustling private guitar studio.
In addition to his concert work, Jason has performed numerous weddings, parties, cocktail hours, house concerts, and corporate events - all with excellent reviews - and comes highly recommended by all of his past clients.
As a truly professional performer, Jason carries General and Professional Liability Insurance, maintains the highest quality equipment, and uses a high fidelity battery powered amplifier that eliminates the need for unsightly wires, cables, or power extensions at any event, which is perfect for outdoor events, or any other event where the look is as important as the sound.
Amplification is standard for all of our contracts, but is not necessary. We do not allow musicians or equipment to be outdoors in inclement or threatening weather. In outdoor summer performances, the steel drum and other instruments needs to be kept in a shaded area, and performances cannot occur in direct sunlight.
We specifically tailor our set lists for each event. We often learn or arrange new music and requests for events for an additional fee, as long as there is sufficient time between the booking and performance . Wet will work with you to create the exact mood and atmosphere that you are seeking.
