Tyler Stenson is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Portland, OR whose music is best described as Elegant Folk. As heard on SiriusXM's Coffee House station, he brings national-caliber talent to your local event. Stenson's lyric-first, acoustic music is uniquely poignant and painted in the light of songwriter greats such as James Taylor, Cat Stevens, and Ryan Adams. He was hand-selected by legendary producer Don Was as a Top 10 Finalist in Guitar Center's Songwriter Search (of 10,000). He was also hand-selected by Adam Duritz of Counting Crows and music critic Ryan Spaulding to preform at their Outlaw Roadshow showcase at SXSW and NYC. He has opened for Chris Isaak, LeAnn Rimes, John Popper and Marc Cohn. Locally, Stenson has been twice named Portland's 'Songwriter of the Year' by the Portland Songwriters Association and 'Best Male Artist' at the 2011 Portland Music Awards.
